In July, the DOLF Project welcomed Laura Peer in the new role of Associate Director Global Health Research. In her new role with the DOLF Project, Laura will oversee office administration and field operations, as well as support strategic planning and center communications. Laura most recently worked for the International Center for Child Health and Development (ICHAD) at Washington University in St. Louis as Associate Director for Capacity Building where she oversaw capacity building and administrative aspects of a highly productive research center, including oversight of a portfolio of NIH-funded multinational research training grants.
She brings extensive experience working with global implementing partners, research scholars, and funding partners across multiple institutions and countries in the United States and Sub-Saharan Africa. A WashU employee since 2015, she has also been a program manager for the Applied Health Behavior Research master’s degree program as well as the ASPIRE summer research program, and she has served as an admissions specialist at the Brown School. She earned her MPH at Boston University School of Public Health and her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis.
